PLEASE READ this important information before voting. We are getting lots of questions and hopefully this answers them. This new system is the most secure we could find to ensure the integrity of the Rock Erie Music Awards ’08
- Remember, you can vote in each category only once and you must register to vote.
- It doesn’t matter if people from the same house share a computer and vote from it. Just use different names and try to use a different email address for each person. Remember----EACH PERSON CAN VOTE ONCE IN EACH CATEGORY.
- You’ll see that you can either choose a category from up top OR you can scroll down and go to the next page. We suggest that you pick a category from the top because by scrolling down, some categories are continued on to the next page and it’s confusing. There was no way to put everything on one page. Too many artists are nominated this year.
- You WILL NOT get an ending screen that says that your vote is complete. You’ll know that your vote counts when you pick an artist and then click “save vote.” Instead of seeing a place to place your vote, it will say “Reached 1 for Round” near each artist and then you’ll know that your choice counted in that category.
- You WON’T see a count in each category. After you “save vote” in each category you’ll see all in the category say “Reached 1 for Round” because we are keeping results hidden until the show on 8/24/08.
- You don’t have to vote in each category. Vote in as many as you want, make sure to “save vote” when you’re done and your vote will count in the category when you see all of them displaying “Reached 1 for Round.”
- We encourage you, however, to vote in as many categories as possible because each artist has at least one RockErie page you can check out and they’ve worked hard to keep their pages updated. This is your chance to check out artists and music you might not be aware of.
- If you’ve already voted, just register again and make sure that you’re seeing “Reached 1 for Round” in each category. If you aren’t seeing that, it means your vote didn’t count and you can do it again. You won’t get penalized for voting twice because it never took the first time.
